Symbiotic relationships!!

In class we're learning about symbiotic relationships. We had to also do a project about the subject. The project was to take a picture in our community of a symbiotic relationship. My picture was of a hand with what we believe to be mites on the skin. I thought this project was very unique of all the projects I've done. it was a difficult task though i finished. I can't wait to get my grade back!

Ball on Mars!

Fredrik Bruhn, the CEO of Ångström Aerospace Corporation has designed a better more mobile rover for mars. Unlike other rovers this one almost never gets stuck has fewer motors and never flips over! "The beauty of the system is it needs very little energy to go around rocks, so unless you're landing on a surface that looks like a bed of nails, it should be fine," Bruhn says. Bruhn says he can make four mars balls for as little as 6 milion!

Who Says Boards Don't Have Brains?

The new school year has started! And our class has been privleged to use a brand new piece of technology. A Smart Board!! A smart board is a dry erase board computer touch screen. It's amazing! The smart board has little plastic marker like tools and when you pick one up you start writing. When you finish writing you can tap it and recognize it into text. If you make a mistake it also has an eraser too! Since our board is new it gets a little off. Then you press the question mark button and press re-calibrate then tap the points on the screen.to make it on screen. They're also a smart board in my math class which is why i know so much about it. Smart boards is making learning fun in all classrooms!!

Math Is...

Over this year I have learned many things to do with mathmatics. This has changed my views on things to do with math. To me math is solving numeral problems. Like say "I need to now how many people are going to be here when these two people come" do x+2=x. Math is also everything because everything can be related to a problem!

The things that happen in our region room

Today in our room we succesfully completed our backborad for east asia. When we finished we were assigned to make a dragon. So we went to the art room for supplies we got a sheet of paper the size of the wall. We asked a friend to draw the dragon head. It was very difficult but our friend pulled it off all that was left for us to do was the body. We took it outside for glittering. It helped show the beauty of the dragon.

After we were assigned to trace a picture of buddha. It came out great. We traced using an overhead projector. We colored it gold and brown. What a beauty it became. Thanks to my team we finished, but then assigned to make our backbord have more kick. So we added flowers and more color. All and all hard work prevailed once again.

An Artic Tale

Last Week we watched the movie Artic Tale. It was essentially the sequel to March of the Penguins. It was about survival and family through the roughest times. The characters are this one family the polar bears and the other were a sea otter or manatee. So if you want to learn about the north pole and are a fan of Queen Latifah watch this pleasant film.

Diggin For OIL

This week we learned about oil and how to find it. We traced three maps and saw where they intercepted. We took that information and used it on this big version of where oil is and where you can find the"sweet spot". We then took a tiny drill and stabbed through the aluminum foil and found a gooey substance and it was oil. We found oil 3/4 times.

BIg Impact on The WORLD

I think that Computers have had a bigger impact on the world than other technology. Simply because it has developed more over time at a faster rate than other inventions. It helps in wars offices communication and can reach anyone with a computer. In the beginning they were used in offices. Then along with radars they can find people and can now start something incredible in a click of a button and that is why it is the best and without a computer how would you be reading this.

Science class reflection

Today in science class we're preparing for podcasting. My group is podcasting on someone named Dorothy Hodgkin. For those of you who don't know who she is, she's a famous scientist. Among her most influential discoveries are the determination of the structure of penicillin and vitamin B12, for which she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. She was born in Egypt and died in 1994, she was 84 do the math. So I posted a picture of what she looked like. Anyway Me and my partner are podcasting on her using new things we haven't learned how to use like garage band. I can't wait to use garage band so I can use it for projects and PowerPoint presentations. I cannot wait to podcast.

Learning more about mercury

Mercury is the densest and smallest planet around the sun! Since it hasn't been explored as much as the other planets, more than half of it's unknown. NASA's Messenger probe will be the first spacecraft to image the whole planet. It was sent out into orbit on January 14, 2008. "With Messenger, many of Mercury's secrets will now be revealed," said NASA's planetary science division director James Green. The only spacecraft to go to the inner parts of the solar system was NASA's Mariner 10, which mapped less than 45 percent of this hot planet. There are a lot of mysteries about the planet mercury we hope to learn a lot more with this new probe.
